2017 RBC Taylor Prize Longlist Announced

The 2017 RBC Taylor Prize longlist has been announced and we are proud to note that two Greystone Books titles are being considered for the final prize: The Killer Whale Who Changed the World by Mark Leiren-Young and An Intimate Wilderness by Norman Hallendy.

The Killer Whale Who Changed the World is the fascinating and heartbreaking account of the first publicly exhibited captive killer whale—a story that forever changed the way we see orcas and sparked the movement to save them.

An Intimate Wilderness is a unique memoir of Arctic life, filled with the author's own adventures, experiences with strange Arctic phenomena, encounters with wildlife, and deep friendships with Inuit elders.

Both wonderful books and authors are so deserving of being on the RBC Taylor Prize longlist and we look forward to the future announcement of the winner!
