The National Post announced their 99 best books of 2016 with a list bookended by two fabulous Greystone titles, Cowboys of the Americas snatching the 98th spot and The Hidden Life of Trees claiming the 1st.
Not only are we at Greystone Books honoured that National Post would select not one but two of our 2016 titles for inclusion on their list, but the energy in the office could not have been more electric when we realized that Peter Wohlleben's smash hit The Hidden Life of Trees had made the top of the list. This particular book is filled with astonishing scientific details about how trees communicate, learn, and nurture.
Cowboys of the Americas earns a spot on the list with "breathtaking" photography by Luis Fabini and accompanying text by Wade Davis.
And Paul Taunton of NP writes that: "I don’t think that 2016 brought us a book that was more beautiful, more important – or better [than The Hidden Life of Trees]."
We're thrilled to see both books on the list and we hope it inspires readers to check out these amazing titles, if they haven't already, for their 2017 reading goals!
