Greystone Author Rick Hansen Strives to Build a More Accessible B.C.
When Rick Hansen established the Rick Hansen Foundation in 1988, his goal was to create an inclusive world where people with disabilities are living to their full potential. Now, the province of British Columbia is partnering with the Foundation to make that goal a reality.
In support of the Rick Hansen Foundation's work, the province is providing them with 9 million dollars to create and administer housing and infrastructure programs that will reduce barriers for people with disabilities. The funding supports Accessibility 2024, the 10-year plan to make BC the most progressive province for people with disabilities by 2024.
