Arriving Just in Time for Canadian Legalization

Vancouver, BC – Yesterday marked a historic moment for Canadians. After more than 90 years of prohibition, the federal government has voted to pass the much-anticipated Cannabis Act, paving the way for nationwide legalization on October 17, 2018.

In light of this landmark event, Greystone is thrilled to announce it will publish The Little Book of Cannabis: How Marijuana Can Improve Your Life also this October 17 —just in time for legalization. Written by award-winning cannabis journalist Amanda Siebert, with a foreword by Dr. Rav Ivker, this fun, illuminating book outlines 10 evidence-based ways cannabis can help with everything from anxiety to libido, weight-loss to sleep.

In it, Siebert delves deep into the latest cannabis research, interviewing some of the world’s top researchers, medical professionals, and consultants to separate marijuana fact from fiction. She also offers practical advice for enjoying its benefits, including easy-to-follow, step-by-step instructions for consumption and dosage, as well as examples of real people who have used this drug to enhance their lives. Cannabis, it turns out, could be life-changing: it can enrich any diet, slow down aging, and even spice things up in the bedroom.

Amanda Siebert is an award-winning journalist and photographer best known for her work as the first-ever cannabis editor at the Georgia Straight. She lives in Greater Vancouver, B.C.

Dr. Rav Ivker is a holistic family doctor and the author of eight books, including Cannabis for Chronic Pain and Sinus Survival. He runs his own holistic medical practice in Boulder, Colorado.

Greystone Books is a Vancouver-based trade book publisher that focuses on high-quality non-fiction.
